What is MiPoint?
MiPoint is a web application designed to enable iPoint Media and external parties, like center managers, store owners, franchises and media houses to manage their information and schedule advertisements displayed on the iKiosk wayfinder units.
MiPoint was initially used to view statistics and reports regarding the usage and advertisement impressions. More specifically, it was used to view reports that display the things that were most searched for, the amount of times a particular category or listing was viewed, or touched, and on which unit. A range of advertiser reports that show how many times an advertisement was aired and how many interactions it received.
The application has evolved to be a one-stop-shop for iPoint’s content management. It includes more detailed reports, that can be displayed per region or mall-specific, and includes monitoring reports for unit uptime, connectivity and the general health of the sites or areas where the units are installed.
What is BeingIT®’s involvement?
MiPoint was created by BeingIT® a number of year ago and the portal has evolved into a richer panoptic solution to cater for a wide range of audiences and clients, such as those iPoint caters for. The current version of MiPoint is an ASP.NET MVC application, of which the development started in January 2017, with the aim to take over the responsibilities of the iPoint Control CMS desktop application.
